Monday, 7/23 9:30pm - I decided to do the daily update tonight instead of tomorrow since we have to pack up and start our trek toward home in the morning. This morning we headed to
Wind Cave National Park to do another cave tour and see another part of the Black Hills.
It was a beautiful drive and we managed to catch a few residents still snoozing.

We chose to do a shorter tour than at Jewel since we wanted to do it with my Dad and Gail. The Garden of Eden tour worked out perfectly since we had a fantastic guide and we got to see examples of all the common formations in the cave. This time I was able to take a few pictures that turned out.

On the way home we stopped by the Mt. Coolidge fire tower and lookout which gave us a fantastic view of the whole area including Mt. Rushmore and the area we hiked yesterday.
After a picnic lunch and running some errands we were heading back to the campsite when we ran into these guys on the side of the road. We were thrilled to check them off on our list of animals we were hoping to see.

We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out at the campground and starting to get packed up for our short journey tomorrow.
Sad to say goodbye to my Dad and Gail as well as this gorgeous park.
Safe travels back home!! We leave for Dallas this Thursday and return Monday. Thinking of you guys!
